Eagle Quantum Premier Safety System
Configurable and flexible, the Det-Tronics Eagle Quantum Premier® (EQP) safety system provides flame and/or gas detection, alarm signaling, notification, extinguishing agent release, and/or deluge operation. All system components are integrated on a fault-tolerant digital communication network. The system is ideally suited for harsh industrial applications that require a hazardous location rated protection system.
The system is approved to FM 3010 in Accordance with NFPA 72.
The Det-Tronics system can be connected to its own visualisation system or to the process PLC system. The monitoring and control of the extinguishing systems is then possible, for example, via the visualisation system used by the operators.
The following is a description of the devices that are most commonly used in the system.
EDIO module
The EDIO module provides eight channels of configurable input or output points that can be programmed for supervised or unsupervised operation. Each input point can accept fire detection devices such as heat, smoke, or unitized flame detectors. Each output point can be configured for signaling or releasing output operation.
Flame detector
The most versatile and reliable detector is now greatly enhanced. It provides the earliest response to the smallest fires and the highest level of false alarm rejection. Its multi-fuel off-axis detection provides the largest area of coverage, making it an economic choice.
Gas detector
The PointWatch Eclipse® Model PIRECL IR Hydrocarbon Gas Detector is a rugged stainless steel, point infrared gas detector. It is approved to be factory calibrated to detect methane, propane, ethylene, and butane. The fast response version has been certified to FM, CSA, IECEx and ATEX requirements for global applications to detect methane or butane in as little as 1.5 seconds.
AIM module
The 8 Channel Analog Input Module expands the input capability of the Eagle Quantum Premier System. The unit provides a means of connecting devices with a 4-20 mA output signal to the system. Each channel is fully configurable to provide device and alarm information.
